What is the difference between a lead developer, fractional technical lead and freelance CTO?
A lead developer is mostly focused on execution and design. Fractional technical leadership adds structure, arbitration and trajectory. A freelance CTO label is broader and often too vague to describe the actual need.
Can this work part time?
Yes. That is often the most relevant format when senior technical structure is needed but a full-time role would be premature.
